What is LushCake? Is it the name of a bakery? Is it the name of a restaurant? It’s neither. If I wanted to skim the surface, I could say that LushCake is a health/beauty online magazine, and that would be true. If I told you that LushCake is a “place” where women can go to gather information regarding beauty/skincare products, fashion know-how, the “ins and outs” of the best restaurants, fitness instruction, blah, blah, blah, that would also be true. However, here is the skinny on LushCake. It is the escape route to a woman’s sanctuary. Now, that is the open your eyes, stand up, God’s honest truth! If you look above to the image, you will see a collection of pictures: the fast pace of a taxi car, the beautiful eye of an intelligent woman, fashion and makeup—basically life in the fast lane (for women only.) When I look at the image, I see “A Woman’s Life.” Women are the masters of juggling. We can bring home the bacon and fry it up in the pan (you know the rest of that commercial.) We are smart, successful, loving individuals who are driven, intelligent, good friends, and great mothers, special significant others, and decent human beings—and guess what? We want more, and guess what? We can handle it!
It is the “true” place where you can go when you wake up in the middle of night after checking on a loved one. You can’t get back to sleep because as soon as your eyes opened your mind started racing, and even though you were tired to the bone, you wanted to get a jump start on your day. It’s the “place” where you truly feel that your best friend (the one person who will tell you how horrible you look in that dress, and hug you at the same time) is on the other side of the computer, listening and talking to you. It’s your Mom, and you finally have the inner strength to ask those provocative questions, knowing she will answer with love and tenderness. It is the place to be, because you know; what you read, what you hear, and what you see is the truth and nothing but the truth! You know you deserve that, and as women, we need to extend a hand to each other and help those in need along our journey.
